A Memorable Day at the Inaugural Royal Fremantle Golf Club Senior Open
The Royal Fremantle Golf Club was abuzz with excitement as we hosted our first-ever Senior Open, an event that brought together experienced golfers from across the region.
Women’s Division:
- A Grade: Shirley Van Der Brugghen from Melville Glades Golf Club emerged victorious, demonstrating her experience and skill.
- B Grade: Youngsoon Song from Hartfield Golf Club claimed the title in a closely contested round.
- C Grade: Elizabeth Thompson from Busselton Golf Club took home the win, rounding off a strong performance in the women’s field.
Men’s Division:
- A Grade: Robert Milentis of Brookton Country Club secured the top spot, showcasing exceptional play throughout the day.
- B Grade: Royal Fremantle’s own John McGarry triumphed in B Grade, displaying fine local talent.
- C Grade: Jonny Stols, also from Royal Fremantle Golf Club, delivered a standout performance to win in C Grade.
The inaugural Senior Open was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible skill and spirit of all who participated. It was a day that celebrated both competition and community, and we look forward to seeing the Senior Open grow in the years to come.
