Australian Junior Interstate – Course Closure & Volunteers
Published on 1st March 2024 in Guests News, Members NewsCourse Closure
As members may be aware, Royal Fremantle Golf Club is proud to have been selected by Golf Australia to host the 2024 Australian Junior Interstate Matches, we are even prouder that our own Mandeep Singh will be representing WA in this tournament. The event sees mixed gender teams representing each state and territory competing against each other, for the prize of overall winner as well as separate girls and boys’ trophies.
These matches will take place from the 15th of April – 18th of April, with official practice rounds being held on the Sunday the 14th of April. There will be course access for members on Sunday morning, however the course will be closed on the 15th, 16th, 17th and on the morning of the 18th, reopening to members on the afternoon of Thursday the 18th.
We are approaching peer Club’s for alternative course play and will be in touch once we have secured tee times.
Volunteers
Volunteers are an integral part of this event and we are hoping to secure the assistance of an army of member volunteers to assist us in ensuring RFGC puts on a great show!
We hope to enlist the support of members across each day of the event (Monday – Thursday) to assist with various tasks including, but not limited to:
-
On course scorers (vary throughout the day)
-
Starters (1hr at tee times)
-
Spotters (vary throughout the day)
All volunteers will be provided with a Golf Australia volunteer hat, and will be provided with food and beverage whilst on shift. To register your interest in volunteering please complete the form below.
